Fensport GT86R Race Project, Part 9 - 2020
You may think there's not much left to do with our GT86R, but there's always something to do! Over the winter of 2020 we changed the front end again. Realising the handling benefits of reducing weight and lowering the centre of gravity we set about making the intercooler pipes from aluminium, changing the route to lower the pipes and have a smoother flow to the intercooler. Also we relocated the accusump to the lower radiator support panel, the radiator itself was also re mounted to increase airflow, reduce drag and make room for the accusump. ...
Fensport GT86R Race Project, Part 5 - 2016
After a good learning curve in 2015 the team's knowledge of tuning the GT86 continues to grow and the winter of 15/16 was spent designing new product to make the car much quicker in 2016. The first problem was fuel supply and we wanted to keep the original fuel tank so our "road" customers could follow us and get their cars up to similar power levels. We replaced the standard fuel bucket assembly with Avo's high capacity unit which allows much more fuel volume around the 265 litre per hour uprated fuel pump. From the pump we are now...
